Madison Malloy, LPCA

Madison Malloy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who works with children, teens, young adults, and athletes who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, struggling with behavioral challenges, or navigating the impact of trauma and major life stressors. She is especially passionate about helping clients who feel stuck, misunderstood, or under pressure learn how to better understand their emotions, regulate their reactions, and build confidence in themselves.

Madison has particular experience working with children who experience big emotions, behavioral challenges, impulsivity, or difficulty expressing what they are feeling. Through play therapy, interactive activities, and structured skill-building, she helps children develop emotional awareness, self-regulation skills, and healthier ways of communicating their needs while also supporting parents in understanding their child’s emotional world.

As a former collegiate track and cross-country athlete at Centre College, Madison also has a strong understanding of the unique pressures athletes face. She enjoys working with student-athletes navigating performance anxiety, burnout, injury recovery, identity challenges, and the emotional demands that come with competition.

Madison earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville’s School of Education, where she was recognized as the Outstanding Student in Mental Health Counseling. Her clinical experience includes work in private practice, residential treatment, and inpatient settings, where she supported clients facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex life transitions.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based approaches including play therapy, trauma-focused interventions, EMDR therapy, and skills-based work. Madison also incorporates creative and engaging techniques when appropriate—such as games, interactive activities, and experiential exercises—to meet clients where they are and make therapy feel approachable and meaningful.

Madison also has academic and clinical training in human sexuality and gender and is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where clients of all identities feel respected and supported.
